He really did. With knowing what was going on, I thought his enthusiasm and excitement was absolutely adorable, and I just wanted to hug him, but from Juliette’s - or any normal, sane person’s POV - he sounded so, so crazy.
This whole scene, and Juliette’s face, I just kept going, “oh, honey. Nick, stop. I know you’re excited, but it’s not working, just stop.”
Why are there so many confessions about gangbangs? I’ve been away from the fandom for months so I missed both the show and the fandom’s development, so I really don’t get it.
Is it some sort of fandom in-joke or are people…serious. Not that I particularly mind either way, it’s just…there’s a lot of people calling for gangbangs and it’s a bit frightening.
EDIT: Just to clarify, if you’re into gangbangs, that’s a-ok, it’s your kink, your thing, and I’m not going to read it or complain or anything (tbh I wish I was as hardcore as that but it’s legitimately frightening to me). I’m actually just curious about how it all started and why it’s still a thing that is…going on, I guess?
At this point, I think it’s probably a troll. There was a lot of them a while back, and a few people were confused as to why there were suddenly so many repetitive confessions, and then I think probably one or two people flooded the confessions Tumblr with confessions about gangbanging and being upset at kink-shaming that didn’t really happen.
I’m just going with the ‘ignore it and it’ll die down’ policy for now, as annoying as it is having to read at least one, usually more, secret about the exact same thing every time the confessions Tumblr posts.
(And, again, before we get any more confessions about kink shaming, if you’re into gangbangs, that’s totally fine with me. No one’s saying it isn’t. Just that I’m tired of hearing about it, just like I’m getting tired of seeing all the ‘Renard needs to die’ confessions.)

I actually think it’s really entertaining watching his development, from competent cop in the first episode, to confused and uncertain about how to handle being a cop and a Grimm at the same time, and now settling into his role as a Grimm and being fairly badass.
But fortunately, we can all watch the show for different reasons, and hopefully respect all of those different reasons.
I actually thought he was starting to get the hang of it! He was mailing heads in boxes and everything. He was a little adrift for a bit but I really think he’s doing the best he can. I mean, this grimm stuff is a lot to get dumped on someone who has no idea how to handle it.
The confused and uncertain is still there, true but I think he’s figuring it out. The grimm learning curve xD
Yes to all of this! I think Nick’s been handling it remarkably well, given what was thrown at him. I’d probably have died within the first two days, having to deal with Wesen that I had no clue even existed before. XD
And I’ve loved watching him on that learning curve!

I don’t really understand all the confessions, either. I mean, it’s fine if you like it? But why submit so many confessions about it?
It’s on the same vein as having so many confessions about “I hate so and so” or “I ship so and so” to me. Eventually I get tired of seeing them, and I end up going, “yes, that’s nice, we know, we’ve seen it fifteen times, you can stop now.”

Hee. Nick all your friends are so much taller than you, poor guy.
It’s also because he’s the only one who can stomach getting that close. I still giggle at Hank’s reaction to rat dissection and Wu’s reaction to exploded eyeballs and Nick being all, “hmm, very interesting, I’ll just look in closer.”

If you think people only have one strict sexual identity, preference, and role, and I think you don’t understand sexuality at all.
If you honestly think people can never have just one strict sexual identity, preference or role, you are being the truly offensive one here. Some people do just like it one way. What’s wrong with that?
I definitely agree that some people do just like it one way, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I can’t speak for what anyone else was trying to get across in their responses to this, but my opinion of these last few confessions is that they’re trying to say there’s something wrong with people who see Nick a certain way.
Some people see Nick as being dominant. Some people don’t. Both are valid - as far as sexuality goes - but these last few confessions have basically been saying anyone who likes bottom!Monroe or thinks Nick is dominant in bed doesn’t understand their characters or are being put on “shit lists” - which, seriously, if you’re that invested in whether or not a fictional character is a bottom or a top, you probably need to take a step back.
For me, I took her statement to mean that sexuality can be fluid, that people can switch or not switch, so a confession like this, implying that there’s only one way to take Nick’s sexuality and anyone who sees it a different way doesn’t get his character, just seems offensive. The over-reaction that these confessions are is honestly just confusing to me.
I like dominant Nick. I also like bottom!Nick, and bottom!Monroe, and I don’t really mind if people prefer one or the other. People getting so genuinely upset over bottom!Monroe, like in these last few confessions, is something I really don’t understand.

Wait, are we talking about bedroom/sex stuff here, or just day to day stuff?
Because I’m not going to argue the sex stuff, but, uh, in general, Nick seems very alpha. Especially in relating to Monroe, which I’m assuming this confession is probably about, given the other couple along the same lines. And if that’s the case, are we watching the same show?
From the first episode, we had Nick pinning Monroe against a wall, and then Monroe doing exactly what Nick said. Since then, we’ve had Monroe doing nearly everything Nick told him to, not to mention the Lowen Games, where Nick saved his life and took out a Wesen after Monroe himself couldn’t defeat it.
There’s also Nick threatening other Wesen, being kind of a beast in the interrogation room, being a damn good detective, and kicking ass in shooting/fighting, so, yeah, I’m going to disagree here. I think it’s very in character.
Absolutely true! I didn’t mean to imply that no one should submit new confessions or anything.
I just find it fun when I can tell the exact confession that another confession is in reply to. This was more about my amusement when a confession is worded in a way that you can tell it’s a direct response to a specific confession, rather than a more general “response” to the subject of a confession. Like the one I reblogged, or a Renard secret I saw earlier. It’s like a connect the dots game.
Although I can see it getting out of hand, if the confessions start becoming all like that, because then it’s basically a conversation between anons via confessions.

I think we need more either of them pinning each other to things, to be honest.
Also I kind of always think it’s funny when you can tell one secret is in direct response to another. Isn’t that what reblogging a secret and adding comments on it is for?
